Gazprom discusses gas supplies continuation with Moldova
MOSCOW, Oct 28 (PRIME) -- CEO of Russian gas giant Gazprom Alexei Miller has met with Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Andrei Spinu and Deputy CEO of Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban to discuss a new gas contract, Gazprom said in a Telegram channel late on Wednesday.
"Alexei Miller, Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Andrei Spiny and Deputy CEO of Moldovagaz Vadim Ceban have continued negotiations in St. Petersburg today on the conditions of a new contract for the delivery of Russian gas to the republic and current cooperation between Gazprom and Moldovagaz," the statement read.
Gazprom earlier said that it was ready to continue deliveries to Moldova only if the country redeems a U.S. $700 million debt, or the supplies will be suspended from December 1.
